Fear Not! It's Your Year of God's Favour

Few days ago, we celebrated the most important delivery of a baby in human history! God would become flesh in order to deliver humanity! I really love the way the Angel announced His birth in Luke 2:10-11: "Fear not: for behold, I bring you good news of great joy, which shall be to all people! For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ The Lord." In Hebrew 13:8, the Bible says, “He is the same yesterday, and today and forever.” This means that He is the same Lord in the Old Testament. The same Lord in the New Testament! In Revelation 1:8, He introduces Himself as Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the Almighty! He is in charge of time and seasons even the calendar!

He has come to dwell with you, to ensure that you are highly favoured! The good news of joy is for all people irrespective of your tribe, race, background, religion or colour! He came for the sick, the barren, the poor, the disappointed, the hated, and the rejected! He is here for the hopeless, the prisoner, the jobless, the divorced, the brokenhearted, the accused, the cursed, the abandoned and the one whose problems are beyond natural solutions. He is here for the LOST. He is here to FAVOUR you.

Favour or Grace is the most available thing. Nevertheless it is given value by our obedience. Spiritual responsibilities enable us to enjoy God's favour! Yes! Jesus Christ has come: “For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.” (Titus 2:11). Yet not everyone is saved. There is something I must do to enjoy God’s favour. What must I do?

Let us consider the ways of Noah; a very great man in the Bible who really enjoyed God’s Favour! “These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man [one who was just and had right standing with God], blameless in his [evil] generation; Noah walked (lived) [in habitual fellowship] with God.’’ Genesis 6:9.

MOST of us remember occasions when we heard important news. We remember details —not only where we were and what we were doing but also how we reacted. No doubt, Noah never forgot the day he received news from God, the Sovereign of the universe. And what news could have been more important? Jehovah said that he had determined to bring to ruin “all flesh.” Noah was to build a gigantic Ark for the preservation of him, his family, and animals of every kind. —Genesis 6:9-21.

How did Noah respond? Did he rejoice upon hearing the news, or did he protest? The Bible does not say. What it does tell us is this: “Noah proceeded to do according to all that God had commanded him. He did just so.” —Genesis 6:22.That surely is the important point, for that statement explains in part why Noah found favour in God’s eyes; NOAH WAS WILLING TO DO WHAT GOD ASKED HIM TO DO. ‘OBEDIENCE’ (Genesis 6:8)

What else caused God to favour Noah? The answer is important because we must be like Noah to survive especially in this present generation. People are ready to do anything for the things of this world. Noah separated himself from many others. He separated himself from sin, corruption and evil. The Bible’s description of that generation was one of deep-rooted and widespread corruption. This was the world in which Noah lived. In contrast with those around him, “Noah was a righteous man” who “walked with the true God.” As a result, God separated him for FAVOUR.

Furthermore, Noah believed so much in God and His plans and he did not keep them to himself. The Bible says that he was “a preacher of righteousness.” (2 Peter 2:5)

Beloved, as you separate yourself from evil and also walk with God, you will be greatly favoured. The things others are struggling for will come to you. It could be in your job, business, health, marriage, relationship, politics, etc.

Many people across the globe have been calling with different testimonies. This message is really helping people. Praise God!
